On November 24, 2017, a meeting with a delegation from Poland, led by Professor Alina Orlovska of the Mary Curie-Sklodowska University, was held at the S.Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical University (hereinafter - KATU). The delegation consisted of 5 people, representatives of such universities and organizations of Poland as Mary Curie-Sklodowska University, Gdańsk Polytechnic University, Poznan School of Banking (WSB), Lodz Technical University, Educational Foundation "Perspectives".
The meeting was held with the vice-rector for scientific and innovative activities I.T. Tokbekenov The meeting was attended by S.A. Meiramova, Director of IC and MEDC, Askarova A.Zh., the dean of the Faculty of Computer Systems and Professional Education, deputy deans of the agronomical, economic and energy faculties.
In his welcoming speech, the vice-rector for scientific and innovative activities I.T. Tokbekenov thanked the delegation for the interest in our university and acquainted the guests with the activities of KATU.
In turn, Mrs. A. Orlovska thanked for the warm welcome and talked about the activities of Marie Curie-Sklodowska University. The University was founded in 1944 and has extensive experience in the field of international activity, moreover this university is recognized the most internationalized university in Poland according to the rating of the educational foundation "Perspectives". The university has 12 faculties, in which there are 39 spheres and more than 120 specialties. Such areas as biochemistry, IT technology, chemistry and physics are developed in this university. Today, Marie Curie-Sklodowska University together with Chinese scientists is implementing the project "Green Medicine", to create safe and effective medicines.
Representative of Lodz Technical University, Director of International Cooperation Magdalena Drabek informed the audience about the priority areas of the University. The university has been working since 1945, today the university conducts training in 10 bachelor's, master's and doctoral programs. LTU is the only university with a wide range of programs in foreign languages. Annually the university takes part in regional and international programs, students are exchanged on the Erasmus + program.
Gdansk Polytechnic University is one of the oldest universities in Poland. The representative of this university, Inna Suchkova, said that more than 26,000 students are studying in the university, including students from more than 30 countries. Also, the university has more than 420 contracts on the student exchange programs Erasmus, Erasmus + and Erasmus Mundus.
The Director of International Cooperation, the official representative of Poznan School of Banking (WSB), Monica Tomasevska-Fatiga and the representative of Warsaw Polytechnic University, Zinovia Shits told about the activities of universities. It is worth noting that KATU has a contract with these universities.
Specialist for international projects of the Educational Foundation "Perspectives", Yuliya Lysik informed the participants about the fund's activities. This organization unites prestigious Polish universities, and is also an active participant in international educational exhibitions.
Further, the participants of the meeting had a productive discussion on the academic mobility of students, the exchange of the teaching staff, the development of joint scientific and methodological materials, including the joint publications of scientific articles.
At the end of the meeting, the Parties exchanged memorable souvenirs and came to an agreement on further expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation.
