On May 10, 2018 the working visit of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of France to the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr. Philipp Martine and Attaché for scientific and technical cooperation of the Embassy of France in the Republic of Kazakhstan Ms. Alexandra Tirkuir Mens took place in the walls of JSC "S.Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical University".
The meeting of the delegation was held with the Chairman of the Board A.K. Kurishbayev and the director of ICandMEDC S. Meiramova.
Chairman of the Board A. Kurishbayev thanked the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Kazakhstan Philipp Martine for the visit and briefly spoke about the strategies, mission, faculties and perspectives of our university, the cooperation of the university with international partners. He also noted that since this year the S.Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical University functions as a scientific and methodological center for the digitization of the agro-industrial complex in the Republic of Kazakhstan. In this regard, the development of competence in the field of precision farming, artificial intelligence, smart farms, etc. are priority for KATU now.
The meeting was continued in the Gendelman conference hall in the main building of KATU. Representatives of the French Embassy presented the Franco-Kazakhstani student mobility program "Abay-Vern" to the KATU students. Within the framework of this program, 100 grants are awarded for annual education in France in French or English languages: 90 grants for second-year master students and 10 grants for doctoral students studying in Kazakhstani higher educational institutions.
Also, the 2nd year master student of energy faculty Shengereeva Dilara spoke with her welcoming speech in French on behalf of KATU students.
In his turn, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Kazakhstan Mr. Philipp Martine expressed gratitude and noted that the relationship between KATU and the German Embassy will continue to develop in the spirit of mutually beneficial cooperation and constructive dialogue.
