On June 23, 2018 at the SRPC "Saryarka" of S. Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical University the closing of the Fifth International Summer School "Forest Sector in the Green Economy" took place. Sarsekova D.N., the Head of "Forest Resources and Forestry" Department and Ebel A.V., the Deputy Dean of the Agronomy Faculty made a welcoming speech and words of gratitude, on behalf of the administration of S. Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical University. During the closing ceremony of the Summer School, all participants received certificates and letters of gratitude to the administration of the Czech University of Life Sciences (Czech Republic), Artvin Coruch University, Karadeniz Technical University (Turkey), Azerbaijan State Agrarian University in Gandja (Azerbaijan), Tyumen State University, Ural Forest Engineering University (Russia), A. Baytursynov Kostanay State University, S. Toraigyrov Pavlodar State University and Shakarim University in Semey.
Memorable gifts on behalf of S. Seifullin KATU were presented to Ludek Sisak, professor of the Czech University of Life Sciences and Bulent Turgut, Professor of Artvin Coruch University.
On June 21, 2018, a round table was held with employers: SNNP “Burabay”, Kokshetau Selection Center, College of Ecology and Forestry, KazRIF&A. During the round table, employers and students expressed their wishes and recommendations for strengthening cooperation with universities in the near and far abroad, and conducting lectures for schoolchildren and students of the College of Ecology and Forestry.
The fifth International Summer School "Forest sector in the green economy" was held from June 11 to 23, 2018. Lectures and practical classes were conducted in English for students from Turkey, Azerbaijan, Russia and Kazakhstan as well as practical classes were held daily in nature: in the Dendropark of KazRIF&A, Arboretum, Dendrogarden of the College of Ecology and Forestry, SNNP “Burabay” and Kokshetau Selection Center. During free time, the students acquainted with the traditions and customs of their countries, as well as meetings of the Professional Speaking English Club "Green Future".
This School was conducted with the aim of dissemination, within the framework of the EU project Erasmus + "Lifelong Learning for Sustainable Development".
