8 September, 2020 the head of Central Asia Sustainable Innovation Bureau (hereinafter – CASIB; Germany), dr. Peter Liebelt, visited S.Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical University.
The purpose of his visit was discussing further cooperation of a joint project on soil science problems in Kazakhstan and Europe.
The guest was welcomed by The Chairman of the Board of KATU Aituganov Kairat, Deputy of the Chairman of the Board on science, innovation activities and international relations Tokbergenov I.T. and director of the Center of International Cooperation Development and Multilingual Education Meirnamova S.A.
The Chairman of the Board of KATU in his welcoming speech sincerely thanked Dr. Peter Liebelt for the visit, provided a short excursion on the history of cooperation between the university and German universities, research institutes and organizations in the framework of scientific and educational projects, noting the cooperation with German colleagues as fruitful and successful.
Peter Liebelt, in his turn, spoke about CASIB - Central Asia Sustainable Innovation Bureau, about the goals and objectives of this design bureau, the main of which are the crating network of institutions, companies and projects operating in Central Asia, in particular in the Republic of Kazakhstan, support of design networks of institutions in cooperation with regional institutions, etc.
During the meeting the sides discussed issues of creating various joint projects with financial support from both Germany and Kazakhstan, and possible implementation of complex events within the framework of the planned development of Kazakh-German competence training center on the basis of KATU.
Following the meeting the high rates of development of bilateral relations between the countries were noted and an agreement was reached on the mutual creation of favorable conditions for ensuring the sustainable development of the project results.
