In the period from 13 to 15 August, 2019, as part of the PTF program of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Transfer and adaptation of innovative technologies for optimizing the production processes in dairy farms of Northern Kazakhstan” (hereinafter - the Program), a scientist of Agricultural Research and Education Centre Raumberg-Gumpenstein, Austria Dr. Christian Fasching visited S.Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical University (hereinafter - KATU).
During the visit, a seminar for the research group of the Program on the use of the SMAXTEC system in dairy cattle breeding was held. In addition, a trip to the pilot farms Family Farm LLP and Farmer Farm was carried out, where the foreign scientist got acquainted with the activities of farms and the operation of the SMAXTEC system.
As a result of the meetings, an agreement was reached to conduct joint scientific research using the SMAXTEC system and publish joint scientific article.
Agricultural Research and Education Centre Raumberg-Gumpenstein is the largest federal institute of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management and driving-force for sustainable economizing in the region. It has about 330 employees and comprises four research institutes: Livestock Research; Plant Production and Cultural Landscape; Animal Husbandry and Animal Health, Organic Farming and Farm Animal Biodiversity.
