November 13, 2019 a visit to S.Seifullin Kazakh Agro Technical University (hereinafter - KATU) was made by a delegation of the Embassy of the French Republic in Kazakhstan led by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Mr. Philippe Martine. The delegation included the Counselor for Cooperation and Cultural Activities, Ms. Laura Castin.
The goal of the visit is to discuss the cooperation of KATU with higher education institutions and research institutes in France.
The delegation was met by A.K. Kurishbayev, the Chairman of the Board, Guy Riba, Vice-Rector for Strategic Development and Transformation and S.A. Meiramova, Director of the Center for the Development of International Cooperation and Multilingual Education
In the welcoming speech of A.K. Kurishbayev, the Chairman of the Board sincerely thanked the guests for the visit, noting the cooperation with French colleagues as fruitful and successful, and provided a brief overview of the ongoing collaboration with AgroParisTech (Paris) and Agreenium.
As a result of the meeting, high rates of development of bilateral relations between the countries were noted and an agreement was reached on all support of the Embassy of the Republic of France in Kazakhstan in implementing a joint program with the University of AgroParisTech (Paris) to modernize the curriculum and scientific activities at KATU in accordance with international best practices.
